Delete your Rooted account
This page explains how to delete your account in the Rooted app and the data connected to it.
Quickest way: open Rooted, go to Settings, choose Account, then Delete account. Deletion happens right away and cannot be undone.
Delete in the app
- Open Rooted and sign in.
- Tap Profile and settings at the top of the home screen.
- Under Account & support, tap Account.
- Tap Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Permanently delete account.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in, email ronkommoji@gmail.com with the subject "Rooted account deletion request". Send it from the email address on your Rooted account, or tell us which address you used to sign in with Google or Apple. We may need to confirm that the account belongs to you before deleting it.
You can also ask us to delete specific information, such as a photo or reflection, without deleting your whole account.
What is deleted
- Your account, sign-in record, and profile (name and profile photo).
- Photos you uploaded, including check-in photos and selfies.
- Your posts, reflections, prayer requests and updates, Bible highlights and notes, comments, and replies.
- Your group memberships. You leave every group you belong to.
- Notifications you sent to other members, your push-notification registration, and your reading progress, reminders, and settings.
What is kept
- Other members' own activity in your groups, including their replies, stays with the group.
- Copies other members saved or screenshotted on their own devices cannot be removed by us.
- Limited copies may remain in backups or security logs until those records expire under our providers' retention practices.
See the Privacy Policy for more on how Rooted handles your information.
